Blogger Reactions: Get feedback from your visitors

Blogger has got a good way for blog authors to get feed back on their content. Let the content be a picture, or an article or a review, you can get valuable feedback from your blog readers through blogger reactions. Blogger reactions occur as check boxes below your blog posts, which helps the readers to vote freely for your blog posts. This is an alternate to commenting but very effective way to express what they think. You can also pick a range of virtues for your post. For example, if you are going to post a picture as a blog post, you can set the possible reactions as lovely, ugly, cute, funny etc… The readers now just have to check the check boxes to vote. To enable Reactions go to the layout of your blog and then under Blog Posts page element click the edit link and in the configure blog posts window, check the reactions check box and then you can edit the possible reactions you want to get from your readers. Click the save button. Now readers can give you feed back at a single cl...

Making your post links more search engine friendly in blogger

When search engines crawl your website, they look for the links in your site as well. The text of the link is also very important, because search engines also note this. Since each and every post in your blog has its own link, you must make sure that these links are quite meaningful. When you publish your post in blogger, the first few words are selected for making up for the link of that post. For example, if the title of the post is “how to blog using flock in blogger”, then the link would be something like http://blogname.com/......../how-to-blog-using-flock.html In the example above, if the blog title does not contain the “in blogger” text. But it would be better if the link were http://blogname.com/......../blog-using-flock-in-blogger.html So to do that, first publish the post with the suitable title which you want to have as the link. Then after publishing, you can change the title to a more detailed one. Note by changing the blog posts title, the blog URL does not change.

Make your website page load faster and smarter….

When people who have slow speed broadband connections, visit WebPages that load slower they do not come to that website again. At least in most cases they will try to avoid these WebPages. This will be a great deal and will cost you a lot of traffic. So let us see the various ways by which we shall reduce the time of loading of WebPages. Images: Images make the page look good and pleasing but when the page is too much populated with images then there will be a time delay to download all these pictures in the first place. So minim...

Tweaking your Adsense ads format for best performance and clicks

Your ad in your website or your blog should be in such a way that people click on it with interest. You should make the ads appear as appealing as possible to make people click them. So you will have to optimize the ads in your website or blog. By optimization I mean the placement of the ads in the website or blog and also the color of the ads. Google provides various formats of ads like skyscrapers, rectangles, squares, horizontal bars and vertical strips. These ads are also available as image ads and text ads. A big mistake which many people do when they sign up for Adsense is that they put a lot of image ads in their website. Image ads are good and they stand out and this is the reason that many people do not click them. They tell the user clearly that they are ads. This might sound surprising but the text ads in a website are the most preferred ones. One reason is that they blend with the website really beautifully. They even load faster when compared to image and flash ads. ...

An easy way to spread the message of your blog – your email signature

Well after creating your own blog or website you may want others (your friends) to know about it. But you cannot nag everyone by telling that you have a blog. An easy and a great way to do it, is to include the blog in your email signature. An email signature is like a visiting card. The people who receive your email will also receive the URL of your blog. Many email services like Google, yahoo support the inclusion of signatures with the emails that you send to others. Your signature will notify the reader of the email that you seem to have a blog and might check it out and may be he will like it. In Google (Gmail) you can set the signature by going to settings ------> general----->> Signature: (appended at the end of all outgoing messages) Just type in your blog URL in the text box provided and then save your settings. Now your blog URL will be appended at the end of all the out going emails. Similarly you can also add your signatures in your yahoo id as well. Go...
