How do I get into Safe mode in Windows? For Windows 7 and Windows Vista and Windows Xp Users : To get into the Safe Mode, As the computer is booting press and hold "F8 Key". I prefer tapping the key continuously. The "Windows Advanced Options Menu" will turn up.   Use arrow keys   to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key. Simple !!!!!

Copy contents from the command Prompt in Windows

Clip is a command used to Copy   contents of the out put from the command prompt into the clipboard.   Example : The command DIR Will List all the ditrectories in the Location you are pointing to in the command Prompt. If you want to copy the output type the command as DIR | CLIP. You will not find any output being displayed in the command Prompt, but the contents will get copied into the Clipboard. Sometimes softwares while installing may throw windows installer errors. Mostly these errors can be resolved by following the following steps. Start > run and then type the below, msiexec /regserver  and click  ok. then open the run dialog box again and type: msiexec /unreg and click the ok button.

How to overburn CD/DVD using Nero

We shall discuss what is overburning first. Overburning is the process by which a disc can be burned more than the capacity of it . Certain cd's (700mb) are sometimes allowed to be burned for only for say 692mb by cd burning softwares . Of course you can override the burning limit and this is called over burning . Various cd  and dvd burning softwares allow overburning but the default setting has to be overridden. Let us see how overburning can be done using nero : Open nero express and open the more button and select configure. In the properties window select the express features tab and then check the enable dvd over burning and enter the maximum size to overburn.(do not give a very high value the deault is 4500mb,just equate it to nearly 4.7gb)

Type the core of the web address, for example say Google, and then instead of clicking enter directly, hold the control (ctrl) keyboard button, and you will find that the WWW. and the .com part is auto filled by the browser and you will be taken to that page.

How to switch between windows which are open in windows Xp and Linux

When there are multiple windows open, it might be better for us to switch between them for easy navigation, instead of using the task bar. So, the easy solution is to use the ALT + Tab key combination to navigate between the recently opened windows easily. Just press ALT + Tab in the keyboard and a small splash screen will pop up , you can hold the ALT button and then multiple press the Tab key for navigating between the recently opened pages. You can release the keys key when you point the desired window. This trick also holds well in a lot of Linux machines. For windows vista, use the Win key instead of the ALT key.
