How to identify the type of ram without opening the CPU

To identify the RAM (random access memory) many people open the CPU so that they can find what RAM they have. The blue one indicates DDR and yellow one indicates DDR2.

But you can simply run a small program called CPU-z . It is freeware programs which will tell you what RAM you have. Just run it and go to the memory tab to know what type of RAM you have.
